A simple guide for wedding preparation

These are the things I learn from my preparation time...

1. Prepare your mental and physics
2. Enjoy -- there will be so much fight between you and your partner, and you with your family. just enjoy it! this preparation time will teach you many things :)
3. Never forget to pray
4. Take time for yourself: contemplating, and find the meaning behind this marriage thingy
5. Smile and simply surrender. In Indonesia, we call it : pasrah :D

to be or not to be

Between all the things I have done, I really messed up with this one (read: this blog).
And... *ah, it's too hard to confess* .. my theses.

As my senior in college used to say,
"to be married, is the second important decision in our life"
As my best friend used to say,
"You think marriage will make you happy? You should think again."

Many girls love to think about the wedding day.
Gowns, dresses, flowers, decorations, food, venue, taking pictures, it really sounds like a never ending joy.
Hate to admit it, but, these imaginations don't stop right there.
Do you really imagine a marriage as it is?
Being one with two head which bear their own perceptions, dreams and visions is not as easy as you think.

The day is getting closer, and my best cousin (refer as my closest sister) is asking me,
"how do you feel?"

It a little bit scary to think, maybe I had missed a thing, or many things for "the" day.
Too many worries, I couldn't afford the school fund for my kids to be *ahem*
And I am still thinking about my theses.
excited? yet, I still curious what might happen..

Between tears and joy (in my preparation days), I still choose to walk on this path.
This marriage path..

"Tuhan tidak menjanjikan selalu ada hujan, tapi dia janjikan kekuatan di dalam hidupmu"
I couldn't translate this sentence perfectly. hahahah

I am so lucky to have the opportunity visiting Medan last week.
As you know, I am half blooded- Batak, so last weekend, I- with my parents and lil bro -were on a short trip visiting Medan.

These are my luck:
1. I am able to visit Lake Toba after ten years waiting
2. found a nice surprise to spend my short holiday with my cousin. I miss her so much!
With her, my holiday feels so complete!! :))
3. I had the opportunities to eat eat eat and eat so many delicious food from Medan.
One town you have to visit if you are searching a culinary holiday is, Medan...
4. visited TB Silalahi Museum. I know this might be too ordinary for you, but because this, my (cemetery visit) journey feels like holiday
5. had a happy sunday service at GPIB Imanuel Church.. which taught me so many lessons! :)
6. bought a Levi's jeans on sale! it fit me well, and I just couldn't resist.. :p
7. Had a great family dinner to celebrate Christmas and my aunty's birthday!

So many lucks
so many stories
aren't you happy? :)

Jumping into Conclusion

A research found that many of citizen tried to help a white-drunken driver, instead of black-drunken driver in America. When the citizen saw some white man who drunk in the morning and tries to run their car, they were trying to stop him. But, when it comes to black male-drunken driver, they were not showing the same behavior. This lead into question, why?

the research proves that many of human being thinks under their assumptions and prejudice. Their assumptions might be based on stereotypes, and the prejudice might came from their past experience.

This behavior might lead them to wrong conclusion.

and another class to attend

I kept myself busy these days.
Attending this and that class.
Sleeping full time in the car and ended up losing myself in the stacks of homeworks.
yikes.

Too many to think of, and I just don't want to spend my time only thinking!
I'm no plato or confusius (wait,..... is that a person name? >> think>> oh whatever!)
So, instead of thinking, I just practically doing!

And I finally *drum roll* became a member of a fitness club

Okay, you might think that this couldn't be a big thing!
well, it is big for me.
I hate doing treadmill,
I found my self really hard to do the discipline.
I don't even have all the money in the world,
But, I know I have to do some body exercising.

And being a member, should be so much help.


Last nite, I attend body combat class.
I admit it, it was hard, but fun!! x)
psst, I didn't do all the jumping and kicking.
I practically watching the others do it!! LOL x)

why oh why I join fitness club?
I need to stay fit and healthy. that's it. end of story
the killer body? no, I am not intend to have it, maybe just a bonus #ha! #youwish

to tell you the truth, *take a deep breath and start screaming* I cannot speak English fluently with all the sophisticated vocabs you have read on all indonesian blogs *panting*

but I do look smart, don't I? hohohoho *laughing sarcastically*

this morning I answer my phone and said politely, "Thank you for calling our office, may I help you?" and when the person over there anwering in english, I became panic.
It's like I want to tell her, "I'm sorry, wha? ha? please speak louder, ma'am. I cannot hear you clearly. ha?" and hang up.. end of story.

Time Management 2

If it is sunday
08:00 woke up and thinking, "what day is today? oh Sunday yeay"
08:10 cleaning up my room
08:30 in the shower -- cleaning.. ;p
08:45 get ready to the church
11:30 home -- turn on AXN -- watching CSI while lunch
12:00 prepare for a nap, but still put eyes on any shows play on TV
13:00 still watching while thinking, hmm I should really do my home work, but first, I have to sleep

Took my heart out

Last saturday, me, my bf and my friend were heading to mall, since we have 3 hours  free time before attending our college friend's wedding.
So, we decided to go sight-seeing to the mall.

There were sale of Steve Madden and the gank shoes, and I truly deeply in love with this one:

 my fav color were nude. they are beautiful match with my tan skin (as if!!) ;-p
Love it so much, and cannot take my mind off of them! *tearing*

they are too casual for a 'partey' said my bf..
and not so formal for office days either
but they are really comfy and they took pieces of my heart already..

We have this paper for last nite due.. It was fully hard work, since we didn't have any clue about the paper guidelines. Edith Aini Alvin Ari and Edyson were trying so hard to gather the concepts and facts for the paper

My team mates really teach me how to work on a team.
1. one for all and all for one -- even if someone sent a wrong hint, put it as team's mistake
2. think outside the box -- don't let limitations diminish your spirit. adapt to the limits
3. know the members' strengths -- and use them
4. put standardize on your task -- so you know which are good and which are better
5. commit.
